Oak Knoll Science Fair Project Checklist

_____  My problem/topic is in the form of a question.

_____  I have written my hypothesis BEFORE the experiment.  I have identified my INDEPENDENT variable and I have listed ALL of my material

_____  I have written my procedure in steps so that someone else could read and repeat my experiment.

_____  My results have been reported (usually in the form of a graph or a data table).

_____  I have written a conclusion that answers the following questions: Was my hypothesis correct? What were some possible errors? What did I learn from my experiment?

_____  If I were to do this experiment over again, what would I do differently to make the experiment better?

_____  I have conducted all of my experiments and have recorded the data.

_____  I have typed all of my information and have put it onto a science fair display board.

_____  I have made sure that my science fair board is neat and has all of the above information (in the correct places).

_____  I have practiced giving my presentation (should be 3 minutes in length!) about my science experiment.*

* This will be done informally during the Science Fair as Science Coaches circulate through the multi-purpose room the first hour (6:00pm - 7:00pm).
